The Clos Chavigny, the last remaining vestige of the Château de Chavigny, built in 1635 by the King’s architect, Pierre Le Mute, for Cardinal Richelieu’s Superintendent of Finances, is listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments.

The architecture of its era, both inside and out, has been preserved over the centuries; period furniture and works of art are its magnificent adornments.

Localisation

A10 motorway, take the Ste Maure-de-Touraine exit and follow the D760 towards Chinon. At Chinon take the D759 towards Loudun. At Roche Clermault follow signs for Seuilly-Lerné
