Derniers vestiges du Château de Chavigny, construit en 1635 par l’architecte du roi, Pierre le Mute, pour le compte du surintendant des finances du Cardinal de Richelieu, le Clos Chavigny est inscrit à l’Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques.

L’architecture de son époque, tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur, a été préservée au fil des siècles ; le mobilier d’époque et les œuvres d’art en sont ses magnifiques ornements.

Localisation

A10 motorway, take the Ste Maure-de-Touraine exit and follow the D760 towards Chinon. At Chinon take the D759 towards Loudun. At Roche Clermault follow signs for Seuilly-Lerné
