La Croix de la Voulte
Very former lodging house in the wide fireplaces near Saumur
La Croix de la Voulte is a very old rendez-vous of the Royal Hunt built from the XVth to the end of the XVIIth century. The Hunt of the Kings of France would meet there before turning back; “faire voulte” means “turn back” in old French. The property comprises several dwellings in white Loire tufa stone, situated around a large, shady, flowery courtyard. Rooms with period furnishings and modern comfort.
