Château de Cesny-aux-Vignes

Private castle, listed as a Historic Monument, built under Louis XV, bed and breakfast, gite and partial privatization. Heated swimming pool.

Originally from Normandy, my ship-owner grandfather in Rouen acquired a property in Normandy where I took my first steps, but my parents decided not to keep it. I was 19 then and already knew that one day I would find “my Normandy” again. It was done: in 2011 I left Paris and by a happy combination of circumstances I landed in this marvelous castle listed as a Historic Monument whose charm, elegance and easy living make my family happier every day.

The choice to share the beauty of the place is quickly imposed and we decided to open our house by offering 5 guest rooms within the castle, a cottage for 6 people in the old farmhouse of the original 17th century castle and the possibility of partially privatizing the castle, whose listed facade has remained intact since the 18th century.

It is with pleasure that we invite you to come and enjoy a chic and private break, with family or friends, for one night with breakfast or for any special event (except weddings). The breakfast is hearty and homemade and/or organic. A 10m x 4m heated swimming pool opens from the beginning of May to the end of October. To the little ones we will show our animals goats, chickens and sheep.

The pond and the park, far from any visual and noise nuisance will be the setting for your relaxation. A service for ordering delivered meals and a list of caterers and babysitting will make your life easier. Home care in massage therapy and Chinese energy (booking in advance) will make your well-being. Concerts in season take place in the stable of the castle which was originally the chapel in the 17th century.

The nearest beach is 30 minutes away. Many villages and walks in the Pays d’Auge will enhance your stay. We hope you will be with us very soon! Welcome to the Château!

Exclusive rentals

• Partial privatization of the castle (the owners remain present in the left part and no one is disturbed, the castle being quite large).
  The price includes approximately 500 m2 for guests at the castle, with:
  
• Private parking in front of your entrance
  
• A large private entrance with a majestic wooden staircase dating from the 19th century leading to the bedrooms
  
• A small living room with TV and DVD, a WC near the entrance
  
• A large living room of 50 m2 with working fireplace and "Versailles" parquet floor
  
• A large dining room 56 m2, checkered tiled floor, with working fireplace. We can hold a maximum of 29 seated with 3 large tables
  
• A complete private kitchen with a beautiful Falcon 5-burner stove and 2 electric ovens, refrigerator, mini freezer, microwave, dishwasher, 2 Nespresso and classic coffee makers. House background.

Table d'hôtes possible in the event of closing days of the restaurants and on prior request.
"Homemade" cuisine with farm and local products (purchased in several surrounding farms whose hosts can consult the list).
Starter dish dessert. "Just like at home" with the touch of the hostess, the recipes are simple but found and tried with love by the whole family.

Reception rooms

Small receptions possible in the castle, 40/50 people maximum, with a living room of 50 m², a dining room of 56 m², a kitchen with a professional 30 amp socket available. Park where to put a tent in front of or behind the castle. Cocktail in the sun in front of the facade of the castle Unheated stable available in summer for brunches, meals, cocktails with a large courtyard in front.

Catering

We have a list to consult with several restaurants in the area, the closest is 6 minutes from the house. From gourmet "1 Michelin star" at 20 minutes, to small friendly and simple restaurants, at 6 minutes. Also fish restaurants on the coast, further up to 40 minutes, the list has been tested by us.
