An Historic Manor house which was a Benedictine priory of the abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel founded in 1066 by Raoul de Beaumont, Abbot of the Mont-Saint-Michel. Several kings and members of the Court stayed here whilst on a pilgrimage to the Mont-Saint-Michel such as King Charles VI in 1393, Louis XI in 1462 and François I in 1532.
