Chateau de Vollore
Panorama and remarkable site reflecting the history of Auvergne
The Château de Vollore was the Auvergne residence of the descendants of General Marquis de La Fayette. It has belonged to the same family for over two centuries, welcoming their guests as friends.
The château, whose oldest parts date back to the 12th century, features in its refined salons a wealth of period furniture, as well as numerous family memorabilia relating in particular to General de La Fayette and the American Revolutionary War.
In an exceptional location, boasting remarkable panoramic views of the Monts d’Auvergne, the Limagne, and the Dore rivers, it is surrounded by a terraced park.
