Domaine de Poulaines
In the heart of a 25-hectare wooded park, the Domaine de Poulaines, a seigneurial domain mentioned as early as 1340, is made up of marvelous gardens and an arboretum. Magnificent hundred-year-old trees and boxwood surround a Renaissance manor house and its outbuildings. For more than 30 years, we have been bringing this preserved place back to life by restoring the buildings and creating thematic gardens, over 5 hectares, around descriptions and species from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Come and discover the shimmering colors of our thousand flowers and essences, feel the freshness of our streams, our waterway and reconnect with the simple pleasure of tasting the softness of the grass under your feet.
The sculptures of the park will guide your steps to the detour of a path where horses and sheep graze peacefully. On the farm side, a shop offers handicrafts made for the estate and a tea room, facing the flower garden, allows you to discover fruit juices and jams from the orchard, honey from our bees and homemade pastries.

Our rooms in the castle
Stay, for 2 to 4 people, in the guest suite of the Renaissance manor of the Poulaines estate. The opportunity to experience a timeless stay, between greenery and old stones.The guest suite is located on the first floor and offers a superb view of the main courtyard and gardens. It has been furnished with taste and passion by its owner. You will find family furniture, works of art, as well as contemporary creations. Everything has been thought of so that you can have a memorable stay.
The suite consists of a first bedroom of 27 m2 (140 cm bed) and its adjoining bathroom. A second bedroom of 27 m2 with 2 beds (possibility of a 180 cm bed), accessible via a private landing. During your stay, you will be able to access the attic of the manor and its Renaissance framework converted into a living room with its billiards table, table football, home cinema and magnificent library.

Our gites and furnished in outbuildings
- The Domaine welcomes you to its two country houses: Maison Rheum and Maison Nishiki. The Poulaines gîtes are equipped with all the necessary comfort for a short or extended stay.
Maison Rheum is a fully equipped luxury suite of 45 m² that can accommodate 2 to 4 people. It consists on the ground floor of a designer American kitchen and a pleasant dining room.
living room with a sofa bed (140×190). Upstairs, a charming bedroom with double bed (160×200), air conditioner, dressing room and bathroom with shower and WC. Two private furnished terraces, on the garden at the front and at the back of the gîte, will allow you to fully enjoy the gentle spring and summer evenings.
Maison Nishiki is a charming house of 110 m² on the ground floor, for 4 to 6 people, located near the Domaine reception. On the ground floor, the house consists of a large designer American kitchen opening onto a pleasant living room of 60 m² with a sofa bed (160×190). A first bedroom overlooks the garden. It has twin beds (convertible into a 180x200 bed) and gives you the option of adding up to 2 travel cots. The master suite enjoys a superb view of the tree-lined courtyard. It includes a large bed (160×190) as well as a dressing room and an adjoining shower room with WC.

The 20 hectares of woods and 5 hectares of gardens of the Poulaines estate with the Jardin Remarquable label, the village's hiking trail.Staying at Domaine de Poulaines is the opportunity to discover, outside opening hours, our gardens and our arboretum labeled “Remarkable Garden”. In complete privacy and privileged, walk the different paths and treat yourself to a real bath in greenery!
During your stay at the Domaine, you can access the heated swimming pool (towels provided). You can also perform a few volleys on the most rural tennis court in France (we can offer you rackets and balls).
