Domaine de Poulaines

Nestled in the heart of a 25-hectare wooded park, the Domaine de Poulaines, a stately home recorded as early as 1340, is distinguished by its sumptuous gardens and arboretum. Surrounding a Renaissance manor house and its outbuildings, majestic trees and century-old boxwood invite you to contemplate.

For over 35 years, we have been revitalizing this exceptional site by renovating the buildings and creating 5 hectares of themed gardens, inspired by plants and descriptions from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Our gardens have been awarded the “Jardin Remarquable” label by the Ministry of Culture.

Our rooms in the castle

• Our accommodations have been awarded the International Green Key label, guaranteeing our commitment to sustainable development and respect for the environment. Access to tennis and the heated swimming pool is available seasonally.
  
  Stay for 2, 3 or 4 people in the Barons de Graçay guest suite at the Renaissance manor house of the Poulaines estate.
  • The suite includes the "Catherine du Bois" room of 27 m² (140 cm bed) with its adjoining bathroom, as well as a second 27 m² room with two separate beds (possibility of a 180 cm king-size bed), accessible via a private landing.
  • The first room "Catherine du Bois" can be rented on its own and accommodates 2 people.
  
  During your stay, you will have access to the attic of the Manor, featuring a magnificent Renaissance roof structure, converted into a living area with a billiards table, foosball table, home theater, and magnificent library.
  
  Due to the proximity of the swimming pool, we cannot accommodate children under 12 years old.
  
  The owner's Australian Shepherd is present.

Our gites and furnished in outbuildings

• On the farm side, we offer our two country houses, Maison du Métayer and Maison les Glycines. These two cottages are perfectly equipped for a short or extended stay, combining comfort and tranquility.
  
  
• Maison du Métayer
  • A 45 m² luxury suite that can accommodate 2 to 4 people.
  • On the ground floor, there is a living room with an equipped kitchenette and a sofa bed (140x200). There is a separate toilet.
  • Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a double bed (160x200), a small dressing room, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
  
  
• Maison les Glycines
  • With its 125 m² floor space, Maison Nishiki can accommodate 4 to 6 people.
  • This single-story house features a large, fully equipped kitchen, opening onto a spacious 60 m² living room with a sofa bed (160x190).
  • The first bedroom has twin beds (which can be converted into a king-size bed (180x200). There is a separate bathroom and toilet.
  • The master suite includes a king-size bed (160x200), a dressing room, and an en-suite shower room with toilet.
  • There is a laundry room.
  • This house can accommodate up to two babies. Baby equipment is available (travel cot, high chair, changing mat).
  
  Our gîtes are rated "5-star furnished tourist accommodation" by Atout France.
  Children's game booklets are available in the shop.
  Our accommodations have received the international "Green Key" certification, a testament to our commitment to sustainable development and respect for the environment.
