The Château de la Servayrie in Mouret, near Conques, is a listed historical monument. It was awarded the 1st prize “Point of View – Châtelains of Today” for its remarkable and complete restoration, harmoniously blending authenticity and modern comfort. It is among the most remarkable buildings of the South-West of France, notable for its composite of architecture from the 12th to the 17th centuries, and more particularly the Romanesque donjon (keep) which remains in its original condition. The castle offers three guest rooms with varied decoration (medieval, baroque, and contemporary). Situated between Auvergne and Dordogne, it is an ideal starting point to visit the region: Figeac, Rocamadour, Albi, various prehistoric sites and, of course, the wonderful Romanesque Abbey of Conques.
