Dear Guests, Admirer of beautiful homes, history and French-style good living, here is our guide, which is prepared annually with great care and, dare I say, with love.
As you will see, it contains a selection of sites and residences which have been loved and conserved through the generations, and which we strive to keep alive, for our pleasure and yours.
Every house, every château that you will find in this guide has its own history and character. Some are more grand than others, some more prestigious, others are more charming, but each one has a soul, which comes from building's past and from the present owners. They open their doors to you through a passion for their part of history, and a desire to preserve it.
Despite the care we have taken, it is possible that some destinations may fail to meet your expectations. Please do not hesitate to let us know, to help us to raise our standards, in order to improve your stay and satsfy your expectations. Let us know as well when you have a pleasant experience.

The “Bienvenue au Château” Association

Bienvenue au Château is a non-profit-making association supported by the five Regional Tourist Boards in Western France. The aim of the association is to help protect and enhance private chateaux, manors and historic houses in Western France through the provision of accommodation with a personal touch to paying guests. This activity is carried out line with standards are set out in a quality charte, which defines the conditions of membership of the Association.
