Close to the river Loire and the town of Saumur, this château dressed in tufa stone and slate is blessed with the charm and delicacy of the 16th-century. Built in the Renaissance, it was chosen, in 1949, to celebrate the wedding of Prince Louis Napoléon Bonaparte. Its exquisitely refined rooms and suites look out over the grounds and surrounding woods. The legendray "douceur Angevine", that sweet gentleness of life in the Anjou region.

Getting here ...

From Paris, take the A11 motorway (towards Nantes) and then, 10 miles from Angers, the A85 slip road towards Saumur; exit n° 3 Saumur, then the D767 towards Vernantes/Noyant. 3.5 miles after crossing through Vernantes, take the D207 towards Linières Bouton for a distance of 500 yards.
